The collision between the two road users occurred around 8 p.m. on the Chemin Sainte-Marie in the municipality of Mascouche.
Claude Chabot would have climbed the hill and then turned left to get to the parking lot of his accommodation when he met Sébastien Corbeil head-on, who was moving in the opposite direction.

The tragic event happened right in front of a yellow plaque that read “Slow down” in black capital letters, Le Journal noted. Tire marks were still visible on the ground as we passed.

Immense pain
Sebastien Corbeil was wearing a helmet and other protective gear at the time of the tragedy, Audrey Bouchard, chief of police investigations in Mascouche, confirmed to the Journal.
Despite everything, the 30-year-old had no chance. His death was announced at the hospital.

On Monday, the pain was acute for the relatives of the victim, a motorbike enthusiast who had already traveled 5,000 km at the end of April.
“I don’t know how to announce this. “I have no words at the moment, the pain is too heavy,” wrote Sebastien Corbeil’s sister on Facebook. My brother has so many friends, he is so loved. I love him so much.”
“He was an extraordinary human being who didn’t deserve to lose his life,” wrote a childhood friend, still in shock.
