“Following Quebecor’s acquisition of Videotron, this is our second opportunity to create something even bigger,” he said.

“He will have a fourth player in much of the country and we are very happy about that,” said the businessman.
Package prices are falling
To complete the transaction, the Quebec company has agreed to cut interest rates by 20% over the next 10 years.
“It’s a commitment we’ve made […]. In Quebec we always have much lower prices than the rest of Canada for one simple reason. We’ve had competition here for more than 15 years,” he said.
Even if this challenge is ambitious, the entrepreneur will certainly succeed in offering lower prices.
“[Réduire ces tarifs] which are higher than those of Quebec, so for us there is not a great deal of difficulty and we intend to attract customers by creating real competition based on our prices and our innovation,” stressed Mr. Péladeau.
