An active shooter has left multiple victims at a Super 8 motel in rural Minnesota, according to local reports.
Police say the gunman is still at large and has ordered people to seek shelter in the area of Big Lake Road and Highway 33 in Cloquet, about 20 miles from Duluth.
Authorities have also reported that there are several gunshot victims, but it is unclear how many there are and how serious their injuries are.
“If you are currently in the affected area, seek shelter immediately. If possible, go to a lockable room, close and lock all windows and doors and remain quiet. “Call 911 if you see anything suspicious,” authorities said in a news release.
Tom Zambori told that he was working at Pine Tree Plaza at the time of the shooting and that there were “a lot of flashing lights.”
Cece Houle, another resident near the scene, told : “I'm fine and there is an active shooter.”
