This is the shocking moment an LGBTQ activist stops the Texas Senate sergeant-in-arms from removing the microphone from a trans speaker – who likened lawmakers to Nazis when they considered criminalizing drag shows.

Loren Perkins, a transgender woman, appeared in the state capital on Thursday to publicly comment on some laws that would ban drag performances in the Lone Star State.

Perkins was featured in a viral video on TikTok with more than 445 million views as she spoke to lawmakers after her two-minute speaking time when a security guard began making his way towards her.

Before the microphone could be taken from her, another activist rushed in front of the sergeant, spreading her arms wide to avoid interrupting Perkins’ speech.

“By manipulating the words of an ancient text and incorporating it into legislation aimed at a vulnerable minority population, you are comparing yourself to another group that rose to popularity in Germany in the 1930s,” Perkins said. “When a short man with a thinner mustache stood before crowds and declared that he was superior to others – I see you here doing the same.”

State Senate speakers are allowed two minutes to speak on topics before a timer interrupts them.

Perkins began her speech against Senate Bill 1601 and Senate Bill 12 at a steady pace before quickly raising her voice at the end of her tangent.

She called lawmakers who claimed they were pushing to limit drag performances to protect children.

“By hiding your bigotry behind children like cowards, you will find yourself on the wrong side of history,” Perkins said.

Perkins then proceeded to compare the Texas legislature to Nazi Germany, claiming both were anti-gay.

“Some of the first inmates under Nazi Party rule were homosexuals and transgender people,” Perkins said. “Probably the first woman to undergo successful sex reassignment surgery was killed in the same prison.”

“When these prison camps were liberated by the Allies, we were the ones still being held in prison for our so-called crimes – for loving who we love and living our truth.

“We can see through this blinded legislation and access the intended goal – the continued marginalization and exclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community.”

Perkins continued even as the two-minute timer went off, raising her voice over both the timer and a speaker attempting to interrupt her.

“Rhetoric should sow fear in the hearts of people and the state. I will not sit here and debate your fascist ideology as pebbles of intolerance do not deserve such a stage in a public forum,” Perkins said.

Then, in the background, a speaker can be heard politely trying to interrupt Perkins as a man in a suit slowly approaches behind him.

“Thank you for your testimony,” said the announcer

Perkins flouted her time limit, causing a Senate sergeant to slowly make his way to interrupt her from behind.

Within seconds, another activist jumped in front of the sergeant and raised his hands to prevent him from reaching Perkins.

The sergeant was seen in close-ups turning on the hard-line activist as Perkins ended her tirade.

“The bill is two seconds away from the outdated discriminatory three articles of the 20th century and I will not advocate it. We’re not going to accept that,” Perkins said.

The fight between the activist and the sergeant continued for a few more seconds when Perkins exceeded her speaking time by more than 40 seconds.

Perkins added, “We may not win today and we may not win tomorrow, but we will continue as we always have the fight against your oppression.”

Then, as a Senate staffer tried unsuccessfully to approach her as activists then blocked her, she screams, “If you want to eradicate transgenderism from the public spotlight, as members of your party have said… you can do it from my cold, dead ones.” hands .’
