Rancho Mirage, California. Comedian and actor Teddy Ray, who appeared on the HBO Max series PAUSE with Sam Jay, has died, authorities confirmed Saturday. I was 32 years old.
The Sheriff’s Office and County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death of the artist, whose real name was Theadore Brown, occurred Friday morning in the desert community of Rancho Mirage, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Brandi Swan said the deputies responded to a call about the death at a private home and the cause of death was unknown.
Entertainment companies and some comedians have expressed their sadness at the news of Ray’s death.
“Teddy Ray was hilarious and a very popular performer,” television network Comedy Central said in a statement on Twitter.
“He will be deeply missed by the entire comedy community,” he added.
