Actor Fernando Almada, icon of Mexican cinema, dies

The actor Fernando Almada died at the age of 94as confirmed by the National Association of Actors of Mexico (ANDA) this Monday, October 30th.

The artist was considered one of the icons of Mexican cinema from the 1970s to the 1990s.

It was part of the famous Almada brothers which were founded as part of the so-called “Mexican Western”.

The other Almada was Mario, who died on October 4, 2016, also at the age of 94. Together they add up to more than 100 filmsaccording to El Heraldo de México.

What is known about the death of Fernando Almada?

The ANDA message did not clarify the cause of the actor’s death: “The National Association of Actors deeply regrets this.” Death of our colleague Fernando Almadaa member of our union.”

Our condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues. Rest in peace,” reads the message posted on X, formerly Twitter.

With this news, the National Association of Actors of Mexico (ANDA) confirmed the death of Fernando Almada.

According to a review by the ADN40 network, “Fernando Almada was studying engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) when he started turning to film.”

He decided to retire from cinema years ago. He emphasized that he did not want to comment on the death of his brother.
