American actor John Stamos, who became famous for his comedy Full house In the 1980s and 1990s, he revealed that he had been sexually abused by a babysitter when he was 10 or 11 years old.
This is the first time the 60-year-old star has spoken about this traumatic episode, which will be discussed in her biography titled If You Would Have Tell Me, which will be released on October 24th.
In an exclusive interview with People magazine ahead of the book’s release, John Stamos said he “shouldn’t have dealt with those feelings” as a little boy.

He says it was only when he reflected on his acceptance speech for the award, after his work to support abused children, that he realized what affected him half a century ago.
While writing his memoirs, he told himself that it was time to talk about his guardian’s inappropriate actions, which he had never spoken about then or later.
“It’s always been there, but I put it all away like people do, right?” John Stamos told People.
The star has been a father since April 10, 2018. He and his wife Caitlin McHugh Stamos are the parents of now 5-year-old Billy.
“I had decided to write a hero story, but when I did that I said to myself, ‘No, I’m going to tell a human story,'” he said.
