American actor Lance Reddick died this Friday at the age of 60 at his home in Los Angeles of unknown causes, according to his representative. The interpreter is best known for his role as the police chief in the acclaimed television series The Wire and for his work in the John Wick action film saga. The American gossip portal TMZ, to which this information refers, has stated, citing police sources, that the emergency services found Reddick’s lifeless body around 9:30 a.m. (Los Angeles time, 5:30 p.m. Spanish Peninsula time). Initial investigations suggest it was a natural death, although the causes are unknown.

Lance Reddick, born December 1962 in Baltimore (USA), was currently working on the promotion of the fourth part of the John Wick action film saga. He was previously known for his portrayal of police officer Cedrick Daniels on The Wire (HBO), in which he appeared for five seasons. In the field of fiction, he was also part of the cast of the series Lost, Fringe and Bosch. He also played Albert Wesker in the Netflix adaptation of Resident Evil, based on Capcom’s video games. The actor had some unreleased projects in the works like his portrayal of the Greek god Zeus in the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
