Actor Paulo Hesse from “The Carnation and the Rose dies at the age of 81

The actor Paulo Hesse, known for his role in the soap opera O Cravo ea Rosa, has died at the age of 81, as the actress Bárbara Bruno announced this Tuesday (14/11) on Instagram. The artist’s cause of death was not revealed.

On the social network, the actress posted a photo of Paulo and said: “Go in peace, love! Long live Paulo Hesse.”

Actress Cleo Ventura also paid tribute to Hesse with the same picture: “Goodbye, dear Paulo Hesse!”

Paulo Hesse’s trajectory

Paulo César Boeta, better known as Paulo Hesse, began his theater career in 1966. He made his debut on television and in the cinema in the 1970s.

In 1973 Hesse worked for Record TV with Venha Ver o Sol Nascer na Estrada. On TV Tupo he played O Machão, Cinderella 77, Minimum Wage and Seagulls. The actor also worked for Band, TV Cultura and SBT.

At Globo he founded Rabo de Saia in 1984 and shuttled back and forth between productions from Rio and SBT.

In 2000, the actor appeared in O Cravo ea Rosa and Desires de Mulheres, both on Globo.
