Rio Actress Cindy Mendes, best known for her role in the TV Globo series ‘Antônia’, died this Sunday in São Paulo. According to Contigo magazine, the artist fell victim to pneumonia. Famous singers who starred with her in the series, such as Leilah Moreno, Quelynah and Negra Li, took to social media to mourn the death of their friend. Rapper Emicida also spoke up. “Too sad news,” he wrote.

Cindy was known for her role in “Antônia” on TV Globo, which showed the journey of four women from Vila Brasilândia, on the outskirts of São Paulo, to become singers.
