Recently, Disney’s most classic princess, snow whiteShe was eventually approached by actress Rachel Zegler during her interview with Vanity Fair. The actress told a little about her experience of the role and, in her opinion, the princess needed a makeover, that is, an update, since she is very old and has a different perspective.
“People joke that our version is Modern Snow White. How it really is I needed this. It’s an 85 year old drawing. Our version is the story of a young woman whose role is more than just waiting for her prince charming,” said the actress.
Zegler didn’t stop there as he also shared more information about his character with AP Entertainment. She also revealed a little more about her version of Snow White’s personality.
“Heroic” and “Fearless”. These are the words the actress uses when trying to define a little of her character’s personality in this new production. As the actress claimed, she will put aside her quality of helpless damsel in distress, a scenario constantly reproduced in previous films.
“It’s possible to be a princess by being a heroine,” added Zegler.
Zegler was also delighted that despite being a Latina actress, she got the opportunity to play Snow White. In this regard, she states:
“Never in a million years did I think this would be a possibility for me. You don’t normally see Snow White of Latino descent, although the princess is a huge hit in Latino countries.”
At the end of 2016, the remake of “Snow White” was confirmed for the first time. The remake of “The Lion King” followed a little later, which was released in cinemas in 2019 and was targeted by several positive reviews.
In “Snow White”, alongside Rachel Zegler, the actress responsible for the role of the protagonist, we will have the participation of Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), who will give life to the evil queen. Marc Webb (The Amazing SpiderMan) was in charge of directing the new production.
