Adam Sandler has received a lot of praise on social media in recent days. The reason? The comedian didn’t hesitate to stop a recent show to help a fan in medical need, and a video of the incident went viral.
The comedian was performing at the SAP Center in San Jose on Wednesday night when he reportedly heard someone in the audience shouting “medical emergency.” He immediately canceled this performance of his I Missed You tour and asked the rescuers to go to the patient.
Apparently the moment was filmed by several viewers and quickly ended up on TikTok. In the video that went viral, we see the 57-year-old artist directing the paramedics to the person in need and kindly asking for calm in the crowd so they can do their work.
“Yo, yo, is the doctor coming?” We hear him ask before directing the rescuers to the man in question. “Okay, here’s the doctor. Okay, okay, here we go, over here guys, just over there on the left.”
“Let’s take a few seconds. “Let these guys concentrate,” the artist added, telling the person in distress who was then transported on a stretcher: “Everything is fine, feel better bro!” We all wish you the best of luck.”
Compliments and praise for the actor’s composure and compassion quickly poured in on social networks. Several netizens congratulated him for his handling of the situation, and people in the room applauded him for his actions.
Sources reportedly told American website TMZ that the affected person was dehydrated and was now feeling better.
