Oakland Police and Fire Department responded to a 911 call from Cloud’s mother, Lisa Cloud Mclaughlin, who reported a “possible overdose” around 11:30 a.m. on July 31, TMZ reported.
She also said Cloud had no pulse and the actor was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency services arrived.
Lisa, who was born and raised in Ireland, immigrated to the United States with Cloud’s father, Conor Hickey. The couple had three children together, with Angus being the eldest, followed by the actor’s sisters Molly and Fiona.

Cloud reportedly took the death very hard, and while initial reports claimed the actor struggled with “suicidal thoughts” following the death of his father, his mother, Lisa, denied those claims.
“I also want you to know that while my son was deeply saddened by the untimely death of his father from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful day,” she said in a Facebook post.
“I don’t know if or what he put in his body … All I know is that he laid his head on the desk where he was working on art projects and fell asleep and never woke up,” Lisa added
“We may find out that he accidentally and tragically overdosed, but it’s perfectly clear that he had no intention of stepping out of this world,” she said, adding that he had plans, including family members to help during your studies.

Cloud attended the School of Production Design at the Oakland School for the Arts, where Zendaya was one of his classmates. However, his acting career took off when he was discovered by Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti while he was working as a waiter at a Brooklyn restaurant.
She cast him as drug dealer Fezco, who despite his illegal profession serves as a moral compass for many on the show.
He also appeared in the 2021 film North Hollywood and had in post production Your Lucky Day and Freaky Tales with Pedro Pascal.
