Adele swaps shoes for “fancy socks” to keep her from slipping during performances in Las Vegas – and opts for a single outfit per weekend instead of a multitude of “couture and diamonds.”

Adele went without shoes during her Las Vegas performances, opting instead for “fancy socks” to ensure she doesn’t slip.

The British singing icon, 34, finally kicked off her long-awaited Weekends with Adele shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday and looked incredible as she took to the stage in a classic black dress to perform some of her biggest hits.

But it turns out she’s slimmed down her stage wardrobe and ditched heels to focus on the vocals.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Adele’s stylist Jamie Mizrahi revealed that she ditched the different looks to favor a single outfit each weekend.

The custom Schiaparelli dress she wore on her first weekend will be replaced by Louis Vuitton, Versace and numerous other designer names every week during its six-month run.

Most of the dresses are expected to be black, her stylist revealed, with the exception of one excitingly shimmering statement piece during the New Year period.

“She has to be able to move, so there has to be a corset that stretches enough but to be able to breathe easily,” Jamie told the publication. “No cloaks, no gloves.

Her stylist says this is to ensure she doesn’t slip.

This is especially true of her performance of Set Fire To The Rain when the staging is drenched in torrential rain.

On her first weekend, the “Someone Like You” hitmaker had the support of boyfriend Rich Paul, 40, who looked dapper in a black suit as he sat in the audience watching her perform, and her 10-year-old son Angelo .

A fan on Twitter shared that the star kissed both Paul and her son during an emotional rendition of “When We Were Young,” which she belted out while standing in the middle of the crowd.

The singer made the evening a memorable and intimate experience for fans, who reported walking through the crowd while chatting with them.

Other famous faces at the event included British rapper Stormzy, 29, who was seated just across from Adele’s boyfriend Rich.

Meanwhile, addressing the show’s crowd, Adele commented that her premiere night was “perfect” and shared how “nervous” she was before thanking fans for coming back after the postponement to see them.
