Vice President of Bolivia warns of coup plans

Advocacy 2022 ended in Cuba with legal management sessions

In the closing speech, Lidia Montes de Oca, First Vice President of the National Organization of Law Firms (ONBC), paid tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the sixth anniversary of his physical departure, describing him as like the older lawyer.

Speaking from the Havana Convention Center, he also said that between June and October the preparatory events for the conclave in all the provinces took place since last Wednesday and as a result 67 works made up the program of this edition.

In his opinion, “the Congress became a favorable place to evaluate the implementation of the new laws, to exchange experiences, but above all to search for best practices aimed at a coherent professional practice for the citizen.”

Montes de Oca pointed to the quality of the lectures given, with a comprehensive coverage of different national and international branches of knowledge, endowed with mastery and simplicity, assuring that the ONBC guarantees the professional development of its members.

He also mentioned the impact on the sector of the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States, which violates the most fundamental rights of Cuban men and women, and the world call for an end to this unilateral policy.

He also thanked the presence of around 50 representatives from countries such as Spain, Venezuela, Argentina, Honduras, Belgium, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Russia, as well as the more than a thousand delegates from Cuba, and extended the invitation to the Advocacy 2024.
