The four-time Grammy winner’s visit comes after local first responders were traumatized by an incident at a home in Duxbury on Tuesday in which three children were found injured and their mother taken to hospital after attempting suicide.

Two of the three children – Cora Clancy, 5, and Dawson Clancy, 3, died on Tuesday. Seven-month-old Callan, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, died on Friday.

“(Friday) at about 12:30 p.m., the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted the Massachusetts State Police assigned to our office to report that at 11:18 a.m. (Friday), the third Clancy child was pronounced deceased at Children’s Hospital in Boston ‘ the Plymouth Attorney’s Office said in a statement to the media.

The children’s mother, Lindsay Clancy, 32, is accused of strangling her three young children before attempting suicide.

She is currently facing two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation or asphyxiation, and three counts of assault and assault with a deadly weapon.

Prosecutors did not say when — or if — new charges would be filed.

Clancy remains hospitalized and will be charged “as soon as possible,” Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz said during a news conference on Wednesday.

The children were found “unconscious with obvious signs of trauma” at the Clancys’ home in Duxbury after their husband called 911 for medical assistance.

Based on recent Facebook posts, there was speculation that Clancy was suffering from postpartum depression, but Cruz declined to say if that was a contributing factor.

Plymouth Prosecutors and Duxbury Police have not responded to requests for updates on the health of Clancy or her youngest son.

The tragedy rocked the entire community, including the first responders who were on the scene. DA Cruz alluded to the emotional toll the scene took on everyone who was in the house that day.

Duxbury Fire Chief Robert Reardon and Deputy Fire Chief Brian Monahan issued a joint statement urging responders to come forward if they are having trouble coping.

“Tragedies like this are always difficult to understand and process,” Reardon and Monahan said in their statement. “We all deal with a lot of emotions. Please know that assistance has been and continues to be offered to all public safety workers.”

Local news outlet NBC10 Boston reported Friday that first responders from outside of Duxbury are undergoing counseling to deal with witnessing the tragic scene.

“Many of the responding members probably had children the same age as those they were working on,” Rich MacKinnon, president of the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, told the outlet.

Hundreds attended a candlelight vigil at Holy Family Church in Duxbury on Thursday night to pray for the Clancy family and first responders.

On Thursday, Duxbury Police released a press release from Police Chief Michael Carbone on Twitter. Carbone thanked the residents of Duxbury and the surrounding communities for the “outpouring of support”.

He also assured the public that the local security community is well equipped to provide any services required as they also provide resources to their staff.
