The pressure on women’s rights continues: they have previously been denied access to secondary schools

Nadim, a former governor and military commander and a religious hardliner, was appointed head of the university in October and immediately spoke out staunch opposition to girls’ educationcalled it un-Islamic and against Afghan values.
