The man who kidnapped his daughter at Hamburg airport turned himself in after intensive 18hour negotiations with the police.
After the confusion, it turned out that the kidnapper was Salman E., 35 years old, of Turkish origin, and that he had kidnapped his daughter Aslihan, 4 years old, who was spending the weekend with her mother.
The mother reported the kidnapping to the police and, in an apparent act of desperation to escape to Turkey with her daughter, Salman entered Hamburg airport in his car, broke through one of the access barriers and possibly took the route described below.
After gaining access to the apron, he fired twice with the pistol he was carrying as a distraction and threw two Molotov cocktails through the car window, causing a small fire on the airport apron. Shortly afterwards he drove to a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737800 that was parked at the gate, but before he could get out of the car he was intercepted by airport police.

As the hostage crisis continued, the airport was evacuated, all aircraft that had not yet taken off returned to the apron and were disembarked, the passengers were checked and taken to the airport hotel.
The Hamburg Police Special Operations Command (SEK) was called and arrived on site to continue negotiations.
Salman entered the airport at around 9 p.m. on Saturday (5 p.m. in Brasília) and only surrendered with his daughter on Sunday at 2:50 p.m. (10:50 a.m. in Brazil), a total of about 18 hours of kidnapping.
He’s on the loose again tonight!
There is certainly no risk of escape! 😂😀
