Rio Singer Roberto Carlos, 81, this Tuesday announced the end of his partnership with businessman Dody Sirena, who managed his career for over 30 years. According to a statement published on Roberto’s official Instagram profile, the split was amicable.
“Artist Roberto Carlos and businessman Dody Sirena and their respective companies announce the end of their professional and business relationships,” the statement said.
“The parties continue their professional activities independently, with elegance and the maximum respect that has always characterized the partnership. The commitments and shows already signed will be carried out normally and the transition to this new format will take place by October 2023. Parties will be considered on a casebycase basis,” the document concludes.
Roberto Carlos and Dody Sirena’s partnership began in 1992 when, according to Isto É, the singer hired the manager for a tour in the south of the country. The contract was renewed and the two began their longterm partnership that stretched abroad. Over the 30 years they were together, Roberto performed in Jerusalem, Las Vegas, creating his own cruise and performing alongside the likes of Luciano Pavarotti and Jennifer Lopez.
