Cristiano’s duo, singer Zé Neto, used his social networks on Saturday evening (21) to apologize to singer Anitta. In a series of stories on Instagram, the sertanejo returned from criticizing the singer, saying that he didn’t want to incite hatred and that he respected not only the singer’s talent but that of all artists in Brazil.
“For my children’s lives, it was never our intention to stir up hatred, we expressed ourselves in a way because we wanted to show the side of those who live in the countryside, in the countryside,” the sertanejo began.
“I never meant to incite hatred towards others, that is far from ours and my apologies to those who misunderstood. I wanted to rebuke all kinds of hate that was being built up because of a wrong expression I was making. Some things I affirm my point of view for what it really is and some things I don’t,” he continued.
“I think people are free to choose what they want, everyone has their own point of view, there are people who are on our side and see how it works, who will support me. Everyone has their position and regardless of that, we represent the music here,” he concluded.
Still on the social network, he added in the form of a text: “You know that I do not condone any kind of hate and rejection. I just wanted to pass that not everyone knows the pain of the next. It’s very easy to attack someone and see people cheering for it. That was never my intention.”
