According to sources from TV newsThe scene was recorded this Tuesday (5) at the Estúdios Globo in Rio de Janeiro. The plan was similar to the kiss between Kelvin (Diego Martins) and Ramiro (Amaury Lorenzo).
The channel decided to send the text only to the actresses and professionals involved in the production of the sequence. One of the goals is to avoid pressure from conservative groups on social media that do not show homosexual scenes.
The kiss between Menah and Renata is expected to air in Chapter 198, scheduled for the 23rd. In the same week, Kelvin and Ramiro will also kiss and assume that they are a couple.
Renata even took to social media to complain about the lesbian couple’s supposed deletion. “Loves, Mara and Menah will no longer have a storyline in the soap opera. I think when it’s all over we’ll talk more about what we’ve been through.”
“But that’s all, we have become the aunts who stay in the background and no one asks about their story because they don’t want to know. ‘It’s this aunt who lives with her friend,'” lamented the artist.
Carrasco responded to the criticism and denied that he was pressured or told to cut homosexual scenes.
“There was no request from Globo about this [de cortar o casal lésbico]. I have complete freedom to write. And with this complete freedom, I will shape the outcome for all the characters by the end of the novel. And this result is only in my head. Neither Globo’s management nor the actors know. Wait for the next chapters,” he said in a note TV news.
