No crisis or bad weather… The new year began in 2005 in the life of Daniel Erthal, the former heartthrob of “Malhação”. At 41, the actor went viral after the column showed him being active in his new venture, not so common in the lives of artists. As a street vendor on the streets of Copacabana, he once again gained public favor. Speaking to EXTRA, Daniel said he wanted to return to acting on television and justified a new job.

The actor was used to good exercise in his car, which is often parked on Santa Clara Street, and after publishing the photos and videos, he couldn't have imagined selling so many beers in just one day. Yesterday at 7pm Daniel couldn't stop for a minute, he was interrupted by customers and more customers while talking to our reporter.

Former “Malhação” heartthrob and actor sells beer on the streets of Rio
“Bomb sales? I would not have expected this. I am very happy with everything that happened after my video went viral. I went from having 83,000 followers over 10 years ago to almost 160,000 in just a few hours. That’s pretty crazy,” he said. Despite working in soap operas such as “Da cor do Pecado”, “Belíssima” and “Rebelde”, as well as participating in “Dança dos Celebrities” in 2006, the actor is not always recognized on the street behind his cooler.
“I am so happy when they recognize me, only a few remember. But I'm thrilled when they see that I'm doing something, that I'm doing something different, they always praise me,” he says. Working as an entrepreneur in the alcoholic beverage industry is nothing new. And Daniel planned everything down to the smallest detail. He says that he always values good service and the good appearance of his work materials and believes that his charisma is a unique selling point.

Daniel Erthal began investing in the beer business in 2013. At that time, he founded a brewery with a cousin in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, which took the actor's surname. “It's a new beginning for me,” he said in an interview in 2018, when he was yet to have a TV deal and was looking for acting opportunities.

Now he is thinking about expanding the business and sees the work without a crisis. It's important for Daniel to be proud of what he does without making a fuss. The actor guarantees that it is an honor to be recognized as a street vendor.
“We can do a lot of things and the pandemic has shown me that. You just have to put in the effort and things will happen, especially getting out of your comfort zone. Don't judge yourself and don't think about what people will think about me. I want to make people proud. My dog, for my family who has never let me down. If anyone else thinks I'm selling beer on the beach… Yes, I am. I am the best street vendor on Copacabana, the better service, colder beer,” he emphasizes.
Among the many customers, an illustrious visitor passed by Santa Clara Street yesterday. The actor Romulo Arantes Neto made it a point to check Daniel's plans.
“I came home from work today, came back from recording the soap opera “Fuzuê”, I came home, opened Instagram and came across Dani. He has been a brother of mine for many years, my life partner, who works as an actor. That's it a lot of history… I made up my mind to come here to hug this guy,” Romulo said along with his friend.

As he continues to push his cooler through the streets of Copa, Daniel thinks about getting back to work in television. The actor guarantees that he has never prepared as well as during the pandemic, and now a suspense film is being produced in which he will play the antagonist of the story written by director and screenwriter Robertchay Rocha, father of Chay Suede , was invented.

“I have never prepared as well as an actor than during the pandemic; I have been studying at the Drama Center for almost four years.
