In some cases an evening of New Year can give you a big headache.
Mateus Facio, a 21-year-old Brazilian, believed he had inherited an inherited disease Male cat Thunder afterwards celebrated for several days on the beach of Cabo Frio in Rio de Janeiro.
On January 2, he returned home to Juiz de Fora, 300 km away, still suffering from a severe headache.
“Involuntary movements”
On January 4th the Symptoms got worse and worse: Mateus was the victim of cramps on the right arm. Apparently his arm moved on its own. Despite being a medical student, he finally decided to have a consultation after four days pain. But the analyzes produced unexpected results. No, it wasn't heavy drinking, drugs, or a punch that caused Mateus this pain. The X-ray shows that the young man had a 9mm bullet lodged in his brain.
“Part of the bullet entered his brain, causing compression in that area and involuntary movements in his arm. If the bullet had landed a few millimeters lower, the case could have been more serious,” explains the doctor on the la100 Radios website this Sunday evening.
After two hours of surgery, Mateus was out of the woods. But it was close.
