Although the aftermath of the ice storm can still be seen outside, Quebecers can now enjoy the beautiful sunny weather with the mildness that is setting in this long Easter weekend.
Despite the looming apocalypse backdrop, the cold, snow and ice are a thing of the past, because spring is finally here, while the first temperatures of around 20 degrees are expected for the coming week.
However, a small amount of instability persisted on Friday, particularly in certain sectors in the center and east of the province with some snow showers aided by gusts of 60 km/h, particularly in Estrie, Quebec and Saguenay and Bas-Saint-Laurent.
The situation will improve on Saturday as Environment Canada is forecasting a change of sun and clouds for most of the province, which will see a significant increase in temperature.
But on Monday we’ll see true spring weather, with a beautiful sun in an azure sky across Quebec and mercury rising to 11 degrees in Quebec and 15 degrees in Gatineau, Sherbrooke and Montreal, according to forecasts from the federal agency.
