Betts is coming off a fantastic season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the BC Lions. He had 44 tackles and 18 sacks in 18 games. The Montreal native was also named the 2023 Ambrosie Circuit Defensive Player of the Year.

The Laval University Rouge et Or product could become a free agent in the CFL next February.

This isn't the first time Betts has flirted with the NFL. He attended training camp with the Chicago Bears in 2019 but was unable to secure a spot on the team. Last year, he also had tryouts before the leaders of the organizations, namely the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Chargers.
