Munich: U-Bahn and S-Bahn reopen – with the usual restrictions

- On Monday, the Verdi services union and the rail and transport union (EVG) called a major warning strike. Read here how the strike affected Germany.
- In Munich there were no subways and trams running all day, the S-Bahn was on strike until 4pm and only a second bus was running. There were no scheduled flight operations at Munich Airport for two days.
- All trains, trams and buses are now operating normally again. 770 take-offs and landings are expected at the airport today.
