Three iconic songs from Usher's repertoire were among the songs most heard by Canadians the day after his Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday night.
“It's Yeah!”, which Usher brilliantly performed with Ludacris and Lil Jon, reached the highest spot on the Canadian charts. This 2004 track, which went gold and platinum in a dozen countries, peaked at #13 on Apple Music and #23 on Spotify.
This performance sparked a sense of nostalgia among listeners, especially comedian Phil Roy, who even decided to incorporate the song and its moves into his morning routine.
Although she wasn't part of the halftime show, DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love garnered some attention on Apple Music on Monday morning. This song, which the headliner usually performs with Pitbull, is at number 29 in the Top 100 in Canada.
Omg, for which Usher invited his pal will.i.am to come on stage on Sunday, ranks as the 30th most listened to track in the country.
His new album works
Coming Home, Usher's latest album, released on February 9, climbed into Apple Music's top five most popular projects in Canada and the United States. He is currently ranked second among our neighbors to the south, and Rolling Stone magazine pointed out that this is a nice reminder that Usher excels in many facets of his work.
It was the pop star's first album since 2018's “A,” a collaboration with producer Zaytoven.
With a critically acclaimed halftime show, a new album climbing the charts and an upcoming stadium tour, Billboard calls Usher's comeback one of the biggest in pop of the last decade.
Tickets for Usher's North American Past Present Future Tour, which stops in Toronto on September 2 and 3, go on sale online starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
