The last few days have been quite a busy one for Quebec baseball player Abraham Toro, who signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Athletics on Friday.
The 26-year-old was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers to the A’s on Wednesday for pitcher Chad Patrick. Financial details of his new contract were not disclosed.

The third-line specialist has only played nine games for the Brewers in 2023. Still, he managed nine runs and hit two home runs. He could get an opportunity to showcase himself with the A’s, who had the worst regular-season record in major baseball last season.
The Longueuil resident also wore Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros uniforms during his five seasons in the majors.
