Gildor Roy will soon no longer be a part of “La Tour” after TVA on Wednesday announced the end of the daily talk show after three seasons. The presenter will therefore leave his apartment at the end of the presentation of the last episode, on Thursday April 27th.
This appointment full of humor and good conversations with the presenter and actor, who has only been there for a year, not only has to be renounced, but viewers also have to say goodbye to Gildor’s neighbors, Alexandre Barrette and other Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc. The trio was formed last September to succeed Patrick Huard, who piloted the first two seasons of this concept developed by Quebecor Content and produced in collaboration with Trio Orange.
Various programming changes
After TVA last week announced a change in morning programming from next fall, which will result in the end of Marie-Claude Barrette’s contract, TVA also intends to make changes to evening programming. We already know that Indéfendable, which airs Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m., has been renewed for a second season. What follows at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays before the big fictions is still open.
The chain must also announce which series will replace “L’Échappée” on Monday at 8 p.m., beginning in the fall. She also ditched the Hotel series after just one season and we know that the Perfect Moments series will end next December.
“TVA will soon be turning the page on the show ‘La Tour’ brilliantly hosted by Gildor Roy. We are very proud to have for three years integrated this new type of talk show into our programming, which approaches the news with the mission of informing and entertaining”, stressed the senior director of channels and programming of the TVA group in a press release , Nathalie Fabien.
Gildor has made this third season of La Tour a talk show in his image, bringing his touch of authenticity and generosity. Quebecor Content would like to sincerely thank him, as well as Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc, Alexandre Barrette and the Trio Orange team for the beautiful TV moments they gave us,” said Denis Dubois, Vice-President of Original Content at Quebecor Content.
