Agatha (Eliane Giardini) hasn't had a day of peace since she was murdered in the country and Paixão about a month ago. In addition to the mystery surrounding the villain's death, her “unfriendly little ghost” continues to haunt the La Selva mansion which moves the book much more than some of Silva's living characters.
The exconvict, buried two meters underground, was directly responsible for Angelina's (Inez Viana) release. The housekeeper threw a glass of juice in Irene's (Gloria Pires) face to defend the memory of her friend with whom she had a platonic passion.
The character of Eliane Giardini was even more prominent in last Tuesday's episode (2) as the protagonist Aline (Barbara Reis), who has been out of touch since being locked up in a monastery and later kidnapped by Antônio (Tony Ramos).
While the girl was rescued by Caio (Cauã Reymond) in the middle of another chase à la The Fast and the Furious (2001), Agatha stole the show in an unprecedented flashback. She was found in agony at the bottom of the stairs by Irene and Ramiro (Amaury Lorenzo), further increasing the distrust among them.
In the next chapters, her ghost will also be responsible for a crisis in the relationship between Luigi (Rainer Cadete) and Petra (Debora Ozório). The Italian will blame his exwife for sending his stepmother to a better place or worse, considering the evil deeds of Hélio's mother (Rafael Vitti).
Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes will anchor the final weeks of production with the mystery surrounding Agatha's murderer. A strategy that has already been used from the first version of O Astro (1977) to Celebridade (2003), always with good ratings.
But the decision is no coincidence, as the villain was one of the biggest hits of Globo's nine o'clock soap opera. She energized the series and anchored the story in a trio of actors who would obviously do the job Gloria Pires, Tony Ramos and Eliane Giardini.
Ramos benefited greatly from Eliane's entry into the conspiracy, which allowed him to move beyond Antônio's dour record. The veteran shone and shined in the sequences where the farmer showed signs of dementia caused by his wife's tea.
Agatha also gave Angelina new instructions, exposed Luigi and brought Caio out of the doldrums, as his story with Aline has simply been going around in circles for months. Jurecê (Daniel Munduruku) had frightening visions about the villain's character, who was even capable of shooting her husband.
Terra e Paixão was written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes. The story takes place in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The story will remain on air until the 19th and will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
