(Montreal) The driver of a vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville neighborhood of Montreal on Thursday evening. The pedestrian, a 71-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital center where her life is feared.

The accident happened around 6:10 p.m. on the corner of Rue Fleury and Boulevard Olympia.
According to various witnesses questioned by the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the pedestrian was crossing west on Olympia Boulevard when the driver of the car, which was going east on Fleury Street, made a left onto Olympia Blvd turned
The driver, an 82-year-old woman, was not injured. “She will be received by investigators in the next few hours to learn a little more about the circumstances that led to this collision,” said SPVM spokesman Jean-Pierre Brabant.
Rue Fleury was closed in both directions between Avenue Hamel and Boulevard Christophe-Colomb.
Collision investigators were dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene and meet with witnesses.
