Air Algérie: When the CEO travels incognito (photo) Visas Voyages Algérie

New CEO Yacine Benslimane, who took over as Air Algérie last June, knows he has not inherited an easy position. He has to deal with a difficult situation, both internally and externally.

Air Algérie is regularly criticized, sometimes unjustly, as in the case of the empty plane affair.

When Air Algérie can fill its planes, it does so without hesitation and this has been confirmed in the first weeks of summer departing from Europe and since August 20th departing from Algeria – flights are full until September 15th. To accuse him today of flying his planes empty is clearly an exaggeration.

But these controversies and false accusations should not hide a reality: Air Algérie is far from standards in many areas.

The company’s new CEO, a former executive at Aigle Azur, knows this too. It must therefore find solutions to reconcile Air Algérie with its customers and with the Algerians.

In this context, Yacine Benslimane has just started a tour to the different regions of the country. This Wednesday we headed towards Annaba.

On the plane, the CEO of Air Algérie prefers to travel incognito, in 2nd class. In this photo obtained from VVA (visa-algerie.com) we see him chatting with his neighbors.

By choosing to travel incognito, Yacine Benslimane likely wanted to show customers’ appreciation for Air Algérie. He probably had direct feedback on the services of the company he runs.
