A plane is currently being held in Paris on suspicion of human trafficking of people trying to enter the United States. The aircraft is an A340300 belonging to Legend Airlines, a Romanian charter airline that operated at least four flights on the Fujairah Paris Managua route in December this year.

Fujairah is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. It is the easternmost part of the country, lies on the Gulf of Oman and neighboring Oman and is of course the closest to India.

The capital of the emirate has the same name and has just 100,000 inhabitants. And these factors would have led Legend Airlines to choose the city, which is little known compared to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

There is a suspicion that these flights are Indians who want to emigrate to the USA, and that is why Legend used not only Fujairah for the route, but also Châlons Vatry airport, east of Paris, as there are two airports away in the spotlight and with virtually no commercial flights.

However, the Paris authorities determined that this strange “coincidence” made little economic sense for a route from the Emirates to Managua, the capital of Nicaragua.

As a result, the A340 jet with registration YRLRE was unable to refuel or take off after landing at ChâlonsVatry Airport today. Initially, the 303 passengers, all of whom French authorities said were from India, remained on the plane, but were eventually disembarked and the terminal became temporary accommodation.

Therefore, the only regular commercial flight from Moroccobased Ryanair at the airport had to be diverted to another Paris airport, Beauvais Tillé.

France3 broadcaster reports that all passengers' documents will be checked and that they will not be allowed to leave the country until it is determined whether human trafficking has actually taken place. Unconfirmed reports indicate that at least two of the passengers were arrested. The story goes on.

Critical situation at the US border

In recent weeks the situation on the Mexican border with the USA has deteriorated significantly. There are records of immigrants attempting to enter the country, many of them coming from Asia and particularly India, as shown in the following video from a Fox News journalist.

However, as Mexico tightens entry requirements, including for Brazilians who require visas to disembark or continue into the country, immigrants have tried to reach America through other countries north of Panama.

The crossing from Colombia to Panama was one of the main routes, but is avoided as it is done entirely on foot in the dense and dangerous jungle. The other Central American countries eventually became the preferred destinations for Asian and African immigrants.

NEW: I spoke with a group of Indian men who had just entered Lukeville, AZ illegally. They told me they plan to travel to California, New York, New Jersey and Seattle. I asked why they came? Some said it was about work, one said “risk of life.” When I asked how they got here, they said they only spoke Punjabi. pic.twitter.com/q40qDaPiK0

However, El Salvador imposed a very high landing fee for people from these countries and regions, and Nicaragua and Honduras emerged as “new options” for those who wanted to enter Mexico illegally and then attempt to cross the border into the United States.

The American government is putting pressure on all Latin American countries to prevent the entry into the United States of people suspected of illegal immigration in order to defuse the situation at the border.
