The CEO of the Al Mayadeen information network, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, confirmed this Sunday in Beirut the commitment of the Cuban people to the truth in the face of injustice, subversion and the blockade by the United States.

Thanking Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel’s congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the Pan-Arab Communications Platform, Ben Jeddou reiterated his group’s determination on the principles of journalism, civilization and strategy in favor of just causes.

In a letter, the director of Al Mayadeen announced the upcoming premiere of a documentary series about Cuba, with the aim of showing the human and heroic greatness of the revolution and its people, the network revealed in its Spanish version.

Stressing that the Arab Independent Satellite Information Channel is a part organically linked to the Global South information network, he highlighted the Cuban President’s tireless struggle in building the island’s future, as well as for receiving media honestly and courageously.

In the letter of thanks, Ben described Jeddou Díaz-Canel as a worthy successor to the historic leaders of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel and Raúl Castro.

On behalf of the Al Mayadeen comrades, he underlined Cuba’s position in relation to the struggles of the peoples, in particular the cause of the liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation.

The Al Mayadeen Network, which has its headquarters in the Lebanese capital, went on the air on June 11, 2012 and since then has been defending the rapprochement of cultures and dialogue between different civilizations based on respect and equality.

In this regard, the Cuban President highlighted the objective and supportive view of Spanish programming on various platforms, which in these 10 years “shows the reality of the Arab world without mediation,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
