The beauties of Verona have been broadcast in prime time on Raiuno for a new episode of “Wonders”, the program hosted by Alberto Angela. After “Tonight in Milan”, the well-known popularizer returns on Wednesday December 28th to tell the story of art and culture, crossing the borders of the Belpaese on an itinerary that will take viewers to the UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Sites sites.
Angela has shot in Seville, Athens, Lisbon, Mont Saint-Michel, the Bavarian Castles, Andalusia and Verona in Italy. Verona, which “symbolizes the dialogue between the cultures of the continent – said the conductor on TV, smiling and singing – just think of the story of Romeo and Juliet that Shakespeare played here. In Verona we met the most famous Romeo of dance, Roberto Bolle, and Riccardo Cocciante, who dedicated a work to the two young lovers. Riccardo is a bit Italian and a bit French, an example of European identity. And that brings us to a concept that is very close to my heart: when different cultures meet, the masterpieces of mankind are created.”
