Alcione sues Bar da Alcione for late payment and mismanagement Itatiaia

Singer Alcione is suing Bar da Alcione, A Casa da Marrom in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, and Vinicius Correa, the businessman responsible for the establishment, for nonpayment of image rights. The information comes from the newspaper O Globo.

According to the information, the samba singer claims that payments for the use of her image are late. In addition, Alcione believes that the management of the bar “is not carried out satisfactorily”.

The artist would have approved the use of her image in exchange for a share of the institution’s profits, but would not have agreed with the Bar Association’s accountability. The singer would also be the target of employment claims from former Bar da Alcione employees.

Finally, she reports that a new unit was opened in the Catete district in Rio’s South Zone without her authorization. The location, which opened in October 2021, closed its doors last year. Given the situation, Alcione asked the bar to stop using his name.
