The angel. Filming on ‘Rust’ resumes this Thursday in Montana, USA, eighteen months after the accidental firing of the gun actor Alec Baldwin was wielding that caused the death of the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The film’s producer, Rust Move Productions, said in a statement signed by his attorney, Melina Spadone, that filming would take place at the Yellowstone Film Ranch instead of the original New Mexico location.
Baldwin continues to be involved with the project as a co-producer and as an actor, according to US media, the producer said.
New Mexico prosecutors in January filed two counts of involuntary manslaughter against Alec Baldwin in the death of Hutchins, which occurred on Oct. 21, 2021, at a church in Santa Fe County.

Baldwin was the one who activated the prop cannon that killed the cameraman. It contained live ammunition, although these types of bullets are prohibited on set.

The person in charge of safety protocol during taping, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, was also charged with involuntary manslaughter, while assistant director David Halls, who was responsible for supplying the gun to Baldwin, accepted a misdemeanor charge in an agreement with prosecutors . .
Last month, the film’s producer and New Mexico authorities agreed that the company would pay a $100,000 fine for safety flaws in the shooting that were discovered during the investigation.
Baldwin has consistently denied any responsibility for the tragedy, and Gutiérrez-Reed has claimed that he verified that the cartridges he loaded the revolver with were blanks.
