Alec Baldwin Rust shoots LIVE: Halyna Hutchins’ husband says involuntary manslaughter charges against Baldwin and gunsmith Gutierrez-Reed are justified because his wife was killed in ‘knowing disregard for human life’
Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of camerawoman Halyna Hutchins, New Mexico prosecutors announced Thursday, citing a “criminal disregard for security.”
Baldwin and gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed face up to 18 months in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter. If they are also convicted of weapon enhancement on this charge, they face a mandatory five-year prison sentence.
Dave Halls, the assistant director, has pleaded guilty to charges of negligent use of a deadly weapon.
The indictment is expected to be filed before the end of the month.
