Every music fan knows or knows a story about the cameras that follow the audience at artistic shows. Some were left in the so-called “friend zone” in front of everyone because of the popular “kiss cam”, others were discovered in a prank and still others were caught singing a song incorrectly that was about his favorite artist.
On the other hand, the same lens has captured the most important moments in the lives of many fans and artists: from marriage proposals to the proud faces of parents watching their child shine on stage.

Last night, a similar digital device recorded the arrival of Spanish singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz, who gathered a group of fans at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico. The evening required no introductions, dress code or ostentatious setup. The audience who attended the event had only one goal: to sing until they dropped with someone who has sold more than 25,000,000 copies worldwide in his 35-year career.
The 54-year-old from Madrid didn’t feel like eating stories either. At exactly 8:50 p.m., without waiting for anyone, the “show”, the first of the second and final part of “Sanz en vivo”, began. A brief but revealing audio-visual revealed that the 24-time Latin Grammy winner brings “Ajora’os” to men younger than him, as they say. The video, which lasted no more than two minutes, also included a visual tour of the various tattoos they have marked their skin with.
The date, which began with the hit “It’s Not the Same,” was intimate in nature. Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, real name of the four-time Grammy winner, only accommodated fans up to the main level of the venue.
The gray-haired Spaniard appeared in a pink suit, dark glasses and attitude, lots of attitude. Some of the spectators, mostly women, simply stood to watch him.
“What I was is what I am” and “I want to be” prepared those present for the first medley of the evening. In fact, after yesterday, Sánchez will visit eleven more cities in the United States to complete the tour that began in his home country with 17 sold-out concerts.
Before continuing, the adopted son of the city of Cádiz introduced the band of almost a dozen musicians who also made the concert their own. “The Soul in the Air”, “Give me the chair where I waited for you” and “Today it’s raining” made up the “Medley”.
“What are they like? All good? Well, Puerto Rico, this is your concert. I like them very much. Enjoy this “show” because it is yours. We are happy to start the last leg of this tour, but with “With all the love in the world, we are there for whatever you order,” said the singer in greeting.
Alejandro Sanz, who experimented with, searched for and reconciled different musical styles in his discography, was always smiling. However, on the songs “Since when,” “Let me kiss you,” and “The force of the heart,” he sang with such intensity that it lit up the atmosphere as much as the flames of fire that lit up the digital screen.
One of the wonders of art is that it channels emotions and feelings. Something similar happened when the tenor sang “If No One Sees Me.” “Puerto Rico, get out of the evil,” he shouted three times.
Sofort, who has worked with music greats such as Camila Cabello, Residente and Nicky Jam, confessed that the following musical number is “one of those songs that I didn’t write but I would have loved.” This is how the audience received the song “Contigo” .
Back on the topic of hidden cameras, a Puerto Rican fan became one of the most applauded fans of the night after he was filmed mid-performance. Such was his passion and dedication that, as almost never happens, the camera turned around and cut him off again.
Alejandro Sanz agreed to this moment with a wry smile. In the end, the man obeyed his command and went to enjoy the repertoire.
“Looking for Paradise” featured the voice of one of the Spanish choristers. Images from the original video of the song sung by Alicia Keys appeared in the background.
Just as the intensity reached its peak, “Corazón partío” announced the end of the concert, which, although short, gave those present the dose they needed from the artist. On this occasion, the stadium, which is dedicated to the arts, did not have the bustling atmosphere that one regularly experiences.
The perceived atmosphere was different, such as romance, solemnity and complicity. This type of connection is only achieved when the relationship existing between both parties is genuine and lasting.
The presenter, who recognizes at every opportunity that his talent is a legacy of his father Jesús Sánchez Madero, remained on stage to delight acoustically with “Viviendo de hasura” and “Lo ves”. In an act of rejecting the idea of ending the show, the star gave away a second medley. In this way, “My Loneliness and I,” “And If It Were She,” and “This Last Moment” were sung by the audience from beginning to end.
