Alex Chiasson gets a chance with the Bruins

Quebec forward Alex Chiasson signed a professional test deal with the Boston Bruins on Monday and will have an opportunity to impress the organization at the next training camp.

The 32-year veteran could therefore sign a formal agreement if the camp experience proves conclusive. Last season he played about 20 games for the Detroit Red Wings, recording six goals and three assists. Chiasson counts on having a good background in the National Hockey League, where he has 120 goals and 233 points in 651 regular season games.
