Alexis Ohanian – the Reddit co-founder and husband of Serena Williams – has responded to Drake’s new song lyrics, calling him a “groupie”.
On Friday, Drake released a collaborative album with 21 Savage entitled Her Loss. On the track “Middle of the Ocean,” Canadian rapper Ohanian attacks — but he doesn’t stand for it.
“Sidebar, Serena, your husband’s a groupie / He claims we don’t have a problem, but / No, boo, it’s like you’re getting sushi,” raps Drake, 36, on the song.
Since then, Ohanian, 39, has seemingly responded on Twitter by sharing a photo from the sidelines with daughter Alexis Olympia, 5, at one of Williams’ tennis matches.
“The reason I keep winning is because I work tirelessly to be the absolute best at everything I do – including being the best groupie for my wife and daughter,” he wrote.

Shortly thereafter, the tennis star, 41, commented with multiple smileys and heart-shaped emojis for support.
Fans also jumped in to support Ohanian on social media a letter“Serena got the man she deserved” and another writing“GAG HIM ALEXIS.”
Representatives for Drake and Williams did not immediately respond to requests for comment from PEOPLE.
Drake – who was linked to Williams in 2015 and was long-time friends with her – also mentioned her in his 2013 song “Worst Behavior.”
“I’m at the crib with my whole set, tennis matches / I swear I could beat Serena if she played with her left,” he sang.

The drama with new music from Drake and 21 Savage continued on Friday as they appeared to have accused Megan Thee Stallion of lying in the lyrics of a new song about being shot by singer Tory Lanez.
Megan, 27, was allegedly shot in the foot by Lanez, 30, in July 2020 and he was charged with two counts in October. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The story goes on
Although the “Plan B” rapper has repeatedly called Lanez an “abuser,” Drake appeared to refer to the situation in his new song “Circo Loco,” implying that Megan did the shooting.
“This bitch lies about getting shots / But she’s still a stud,” Drake raps to the track. “She doesn’t even get the joke / But she’s still smiling.”

In a series of tweets shared early Friday, Megan initially appeared to brush aside the lines, writing: “I know I’m very popular but y’all need to stop attaching flimsy conspiracy theories to my name in bars lol. After a fan said that Drake “technically” said her name in his lyrics, Megan again implied that the line wasn’t necessarily about her, as “stallion” is slang for a “big, fat woman.” , she wrote.
Not long after, however, Megan changed her tone and asked others to stop “using my shooting for clout.”
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, slammed those who continued to defend Lanez.
“Despite the irrefutable evidence that Megan was a victim of gun violence, the ignorant continue to support her attacker,” Spiro said.
