For many lovers of Italian design, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is one of the most beautiful cars ever to see the light of day, an object that combines art and technology with a symbiosis of rare eloquence. From 1967 to 1969 only 18 examples were produced, some of which served as the basis for racing cars. Fifty-six years after its launch, Alfa Romeo announces its return in quite spectacular fashion.

Here the 33 Stradale is reissued, nothing more and nothing less: the Maserati MC20. This mobile sculpture is handcrafted by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera on the MC20 chassis. Its lines are of exceptional purity, all curved to complete a balance of proportions worthy of fine art.
This homage, whose edition is limited to 33 copies – all sold – draws on the great history of a once revered brand, but is very modern in its offering. This is evidenced not only by its carbon fiber monocoque chassis, to which aluminum parts are attached, but also by its mechanics.
Its Maserati-sourced 620 hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, supported by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, provides a more traditional look to the composition. There is also an electric version with 750 hp and a 102 kWh battery. Alfa Romeo claims a range of 450 km in the European measurement cycle. However, the total weight increases to 2100 kg, which is 600 kg more than the version with a heat engine. Luckily, a carbon ceramic brake system is installed as standard.
A piece of history that we will probably never see on our streets, but that does not stop us from enjoying its great artistic sensitivity.
