Ali Wong gushes about kissing boyfriend Bill Hader – then thanks him in his Golden Globes speech

Ali Wong raised some eyebrows during the 2024 Golden Globes after thanking her ex-husband Justin Hakuta on stage – shortly after kissing current boyfriend Bill Hader.

The moment came when Wong, 41, stood up to accept her award for best performance by an actress in a limited series, anthology series or television movie for “Beef.”

In one clip posted on X (formerly Twitter) The comedian was seen smooching the “Saturday Night Live” alum after her name was announced.

During her acceptance speech, Wong thanked Hakuta, who separated from her in April 2022.

Wong called the tech entrepreneur her “best friend” and thanked him for looking after their daughters Nikki, 6, and Mari, 8.

“I really have to thank the father of my children and my best friend Justin for all your love and support,” the actress said enthused during her speech. “Thanks to you, I can be a working mother.”

After the heartfelt greeting, Wong sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the heartfelt message.

“Yes, that’s true, I like to keep it peaceful, grateful and friendly,” Wong told the outlet.

The ex-partners met at a friend's wedding in 2010 and married on November 27, 2014 in San Francisco. Last month, Wong officially filed for divorce, more than a year after announcing their split.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Wong filed to enforce their prenuptial agreement and they are currently in mediation to divide their assets and decide child and spousal support.

They retain joint custody of their children and she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

In March 2023, Wong told that she and Hakuta were still “very, very close.”

“We've been through so much together. “It’s a very unconventional divorce,” she said at the time.

Meanwhile, Wong and Hader, 45, initially had a brief two-month romance after the “Barry” alum split from actress Anna Kendrick.

“They are no longer dating,” a source close to the couple told Page Six. “They were only together for a very short time. They're just super busy, but [the split] was definitely amicable. They’re definitely friends.”

However, in April 2023, Hader accidentally revealed that he and Wong had rekindled their romance during an interview with Collider.

“My girlfriend and I just found out that I haven't had a vacation in ten years,” Hader told the outlet. “I went to San Francisco with her, but that doesn’t really count. So I’m going to take a vacation.”
