Alianza Lima demands that the FPF maintain the suspension of the game with UCV or take legal action

The blue and white club gave the FPF 48 hours to get an answer and also expressed disagreement with the change in the rules of League 1 in full development of the tournament.

Amid the conflict over television rights, the Peruvian Football Federation decided to suspend several games, including this one Lima Alliance vs. Cesar Vallejo. After a few days of events, the current two-time League 1 champion spoke about this episode and sent a notarized letter to the company demanding that they support his decision within 48 hours.

“Alianza Lima, in view of the arbitrariness committed against him, sent a notarized letter to the Peruvian Football Federation so that within 48 hours he would provide the legal assistance that led him to suspend the game that our club would have been playing on February 25 should be for the 1st league. (…) After this period, the club will take the appropriate legal steps in view of the serious damage caused,” says the club’s website.

Likewise, the source questioned that the FPF is trying to change the regulations while the competition is on.

“Club Alianza Lima emphasizes that changing the regulations of a championship in progress to adapt it to the sanctions that the FPF intends to impose would constitute a violation of the constitution, to the detriment of the clubs,” they pointed out.

It should be noted that the engagement between Victorians and Poets has been postponed due to the broadcast rights dispute between 6 clubs – one of which is Alianza Lima – and the company.

Agustín Lozano decided on the sanctions the clubs would receive

Before the blue and white statement, Agustín Lozano spoke on this subject: He ruled out the option of walkover and announced changes to the competition regulations

“There is no way that if a team doesn’t respect the issue of broadcast rights, they will lose by walkover (…). We’ve been in the directory since 8 a.m. Over the hours it will be made known some changes. I prefer League 1 to do the reporting. The FPF only authorizes transmissions to those who have the rights, i.e. to 1190,” he explained to RPP.
