Farewell to Pablo Lavandeira. Alianza Lima officially announced the departure of the 33-year-old footballer this Friday, June 23, after defending the club’s colors for a year and a half, during which time he won a national title in late 2022, meaning he lost the Season 2021 ended two-time championship for the blue and white. The midfielder will continue his career away from the capital and is now a new player for Melgar de Arequipa, a side he scored in the playoffs last season.
Through their social media, the intimate cast released a video with emotional words to Lavandeira, thanking him for the good times he gave to the people of Alianza Lima and for the achievements.
“We announce that Pablo Lavandeira will be transferred to Melgar. Thank you for your professionalism, your commitment and your affection for the blue and white. They leave us great moments that we will not forget,” they said on their Twitter account.

Pablo Lavandeira took to his Instagram to say goodbye to Alianza Lima and all his fans. The Uruguayan had some emotional words, pointing out that his departure from La Victoria was a bitter moment in his life.
“Writing a farewell message is always bitter and today is even worse, but I choose to do it by thanking and remembering all the displays of affection you have given me across the country over this year and a half. For your respect from The day I arrived at the club and the same goes for my family. I carry all your love and the happy moments together in my heart. I will have you by my side for life. With my family we leave you a warm and eternal hug Thank you. Forever,” wrote the Uruguayan.

Melgar presented Pablo Lavandeira for the 2023 Clausura tournament
Shortly after Alianza Lima announced the departure of Pablo Lavandeira, Melgar made the Uruguayan footballer’s contract official for the 2023 Clausura tournament. The Domino team presented him with a video highlighting his goals and assists.
