Alicia Vikander gave a very rare glimpse into motherhood when she spoke candidly with Harper’s Bazaar about her desire to put her family first and the inconvenience of filming intimate scenes.
The 33-year-old actress welcomed her first child with husband Michael Fassbender last year and although she was spotted out and about with a baby in August, it wasn’t until the following month that she confirmed she’d welcomed a child.
Since then, she’s avoided speaking publicly about her child — or revealing her name or gender — but in a new interview, the Oscar-winner opened up about motherhood, explaining that she always puts her “little family” first Job.

She said: “In my small family, we always travel together with my husband and child. That’s the rule. We do jobs so one of us can always be with the baby.”
The couple, who currently live together in Lisbon, Portugal, are known for being notoriously private and had not previously spoken out about having children together.
Michael and Alicia tied the knot in October 2017 – three years after they met after meeting on the set of The Light Between Oceans.

Elsewhere in the chat, Alicia also admitted that she doesn’t like filming sex scenes, admitting they’re the “worst thing ever.”
She said: “The only thing that can’t be improvised is an intimate scene – you have to choreograph it and stick to it.
“It’s the worst thing ever to do those scenes. I’m very comfortable with my body and I’ve shot quite a lot of nude and sex scenes, but it’s never easy.”
Speaking of which, elsewhere in the chat, Alicia also confessed that she doesn’t like filming sex scenes, admitting they’re the “worst thing ever.”

The ex-machina star then revealed she hadn’t always felt safe during intimate scenes.
She said: “I’ve been in situations that weren’t okay, where I didn’t feel protected.
‘[On one occasion] Everyone was busy doing their own thing and right in the middle is an actor who sits naked for a couple of hours. And someone is supposed to come in with a robe, and they don’t.

“It comes after- [the knowledge that] that wasn’t right. I should have been taken care of.”
Alicia went on to talk about the perception of show business as glamor versus reality which is far more challenging.
She said: “People come and see us at a premiere dressed up and walking on these carpets and of course it’s fun. But that is the illusion of what the industry is.
‘[The reality is] Interest and passion and the will to do something.
“It’s four months of a bunch of strangers working 15 hours a day, six days a week and not sleeping.”

She then removed her bra and slipped into a white crop top and jeans, with her tresses styled in loose waves and wearing a natural palette of makeup.
