Alison Hammond gives an insight into her £7,000-a-week holiday in Bristol on This Morning as she enjoys a relaxing break after a busy summer

Alison Hammond has shared a glimpse of her chic £7,000-a-week stay in Bristol on This Morning after taking some time off following a busy summer.

The 48-year-old TV host stayed for a week in a luxurious, rustic barn with expansive lawns, a spa-inspired bathroom and an outdoor hot tub.

Alison shared the six-bedroom hidden gem, which also included a huge outdoor area for visitors, on Instagram.

Located on the outskirts of Bristol, the holiday home can accommodate 24 people and also has a private cinema and an on-site chef.

She also shared a picture of herself on the beach looking out to sea and captioned the post, “Escape.”

The short and sweet journey is coming to an end very quickly as she will be back on our screens as host of The Great British Bake Off at the end of September.

Alison recently admitted she’s “finally ready to settle down” after years of “cold feet” in previous relationships.

The This Morning star, who is currently single, revealed she has “always been afraid” of commitment but is now ready to tie the knot if Mr Right comes along.

Alison was previously engaged to taxi driver Noureddine Boufaied, father of her 18-year-old son Aiden, but claimed she was “not ready for marriage at this point”.

Alison dated landscape gardener Ben Hawkins for two years before they split earlier this year.

Speaking to Gyles Brandreth on an episode of his podcast Rosebud, which begins Friday, the TV personality explained that she “loves her own company” and believes that’s why she has trouble with relationships.

Alison said: “I think that’s why I struggle in relationships because I don’t want to have anyone around me all the time. “I absolutely love being alone. I agree. I never felt lonely.

“I think as soon as I hear the word marriage I get cold feet. I think I’m just one of those people.

“I always think – not that there’s anything better – but I always get a little nervous when I know there is.”

“I just feel like I’m tied down and I don’t like it when I really and truly get to the age where I’m like, ‘Alison, let go – it’s OK to settle down.'”

Elsewhere in the chat, Alison also revealed that people mistakenly believed she had been married before.

It has been widely believed for years that the presenter was once married to taxi driver Noureddine, the father of her son Aiden.

She explained that although Noureddine was a “lovely guy” and they got engaged when they were 30, the word “marriage” scared her at the time.

She agreed that she has previously had a commitment phobia, saying: “A lot of people think I was married – I’ve never been married.”

“Looking online, it looks like Alison was married to Aiden’s father, but I wasn’t.” He got engaged to me, but we never actually got married.

“He’s a nice guy – he’s actually from Tunisia.” So I went to Tunisia to do some representation. I was an entertainer in Tunisia. “I never met anyone when I was in Tunisia – I came home and met a Tunisian, which was bizarre.”

“Aiden’s dad was just a nice guy.” He had the most beautiful smile and I fell in love with that, and Aiden has that smile too.

“I just didn’t feel like we were ready for marriage back then. “It was the perfect time to get married.”

She didn’t reveal why she broke up with Aiden’s father, but since then Alison has reportedly been engaged to single dad and security guard Jamie Savage after meeting him online, and more recently dated landscape gardener Ben for around two years Hawkins together after she hired him to work on her garden in 2021.
