Alison Hammond reportedly called the police after being targeted as part of a dark extortion and racketeering gang.
This Morning host Alison, 48, has allegedly handed over thousands of pounds in cash to a man who threatened to make false details of her private life public if she didn’t give in to his demands.
It is claimed he threatened to end her career with the fabricated information unless she also bought him a £5,000 BMW car.
According to The Sun, Alison told a friend: “I was so naive and I feel so stupid.”
After working up the courage to report the unidentified man, Alison showed police officers the messages she had received from him.

Great Britain’s Bake Off presenter Alison is said to be fighting back tears as she told her pal today: “I trusted this guy who turns out was only interested in my money.
‘I thought he valued our friendship. I know now he just wanted me to finance his life of luxury.”
It is alleged the man took advantage of Alison’s friendly nature and they formed an unlikely friendship despite his problems with drugs.
Alison reportedly told her pal that he made the demands on her out of the blue after she happily tried to help and spend money on him.
It is alleged that Alison tried to cut ties with him several times, but he managed to re-enter her life.
Things reached boiling point for Alison as she reportedly told a colleague last week: “He sent me a message saying he would ruin me if I didn’t give him £3,500.
“I was stunned. I am still shocked. Having a friend trying to blackmail and blackmail me is just heartbreaking.
“I had to realize that I had reached the end and go to the police.”

Alison reported the situation to West Midlands Police on Tuesday this week.
However, Alison is said to be “real afraid” of retaliation from the man after she stopped giving him money and contacted the authorities.

It comes after Alison revealed the heartbreaking reason she broke down in tears after landing her new role on the Great British Bake Off.
The presenter said the moment was “bittersweet” as the Channel 4 show is one of her mum’s favorite shows.
Alison’s mother, Maria, who was from Guyana, tragically died of lung and liver cancer in January 2020.
She explained how she felt “devastated” that her mother would never see her on the show, and how emotional the thought of it made her.
In an interview with The Sun, Alison said: “It was one of her favorite programmes. It makes me really emotional when I say it.’
Alison continued: “It’s a really big deal and the fact that she can’t see it. I’m devastated – it’s bittersweet.”
On the announcement, she added: “It was so exciting I knew the news about three weeks before the announcement. When it leaked, guess who’s birthday was? My mother.’
The former Big Brother star announced the sad news that her mum had passed and shared a series of photos of her mum – one of them showing her smiling in a yellow top while sitting on a hospital bed.

Alison wrote, “Dedicating Valentine’s Day to my beautiful, wonderful mother, Maria, who has passed away from liver and lung cancer.”
“Yesterday my family and I celebrated her amazing life and buried her in a beautiful ceremony that she would have been proud of.
“Thank you mom for giving me the strength to move forward knowing you are fine and with God in heaven now. I will always remember you and try to make you proud. I love you mom.’
Tragically, Alison’s father died four months later and Alison took to social media to share that she wasn’t able to spend as much time with him as she would have liked.
