Everything everywhere at once can add another historic victory to his impressive list of accolades. Indeed, written and directed by the duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the surprising film seems to have become the most awarded of all time compared to the 158 awards received from major critics organizations and institutions in the film industry. In particular, it would have far surpassed the previous record of the acclaimed The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kingthe final chapter of the film saga based on the works of JRR Tolkien, ends with 101 awards.
The multiverse-themed sci-fy dramedy awards include six awards from Hollywood Critics Associationtwo wins a Golden Globesseven garlic Independent Spirit Awards and four awards presented by the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Many of these went to Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, who won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor awards.
Quan’s parable in particular is incredible and adds another note of color to the film’s success.
