Although the series’ conclusion hasn’t premiered yet, a Reddit user who claims to know Madlyn and Colby personally revealed that they are currently married and have a baby together.
Colby gave Madlyn the ultimatum after a year of dating
When Colby and Madlyn entered the experiment, she claimed she loved her boyfriend but didn’t think she was ready to tie the knot and admits she wonders if they’re dating anyone else could.
Though he’s scared of losing the love of his life, Colby also wants someone who’s ready for marriage. When it became clear he had no plans to pursue anything with Alexis Maloney, she got upset and told Madlyn he wasn’t a good guy.
Meanwhile, Colby cried in the bathroom afterwards, realizing how much he loved his girlfriend. However, he continued with the experience and bonded with Lauren Pounds, believing he could help her process her feelings about not wanting a child. Colby promised that he would put everything into the experience and not use it as a distraction from Madlyn, but he didn’t get the chance.
When it came time to choose her negotiating partner, her boyfriend suggested Nate Ruggles, insisting he didn’t care that she didn’t want a family. Therefore he ended up with April Melohn, with whom he initially connected. The two didn’t have a solid romantic bond and both focused on working on themselves while they were together.
Madlyn broke up with Colby before the finale of The Ultimatum
Madlyn spent her three weeks with Randall Griffin, whom she admitted found most attractive. During their time together, she remarked on how much she enjoyed his ability to listen and indicated that she felt Colby was the center of attention.
Additionally, her friends approved of him, admitting that they liked him more than their ex. During a dinner with the other female cast members, Madlyn bragged about her attraction to Randall and claimed he kissed her off-camera “on purpose”.
She also revealed that she doesn’t want to marry Colby and believes it’s the person, not a timeline. Meanwhile, Randall praised Madlyn for finding her “more acceptable” and helped him get in touch with his feelings. Their comfortable time together hit a patch, however, when Randall wasn’t having sex with Madlyn like she wanted, noting that he wanted to connect emotionally and still work things out with her exes.
After reconnecting with her boyfriend, Madlyn caught him texting other girls he had met at a club and they got into several fights after he refused to take responsibility. Although she initially tried to work it out, it eventually became too much for her and she gave up before the finale. The Ultimatum will air on Netflix.
